FAQ

do you specialize in any genres?

I have a (strong!) soft spot for anything pop, rnb or soul. And this reflects in my contacts. However, no matter the genre, you are always welcome to send me your music and if it moves me, and I feel like I have the right contacts for it, I would be happy to discuss things further.

why should I hire you?

I successfully managed multiple PR campaigns since I started in 2016, for unsigned artists but also independent labels & majors. I’m extremely passionate. I don’t make false promises but I will always go above and beyond for my artists and give my 200%. Before that, I worked many years as an entertainment journalist and, having been running a music blog for over 10 years now, I have therefore been on both sides of the spectrum and know how to catch a journalist’s attention. I aspire to create and nurture long-term collaborations based on trust, honesty and hard work with independent artists that I love, to help them shine a light on their music and find the right opportunities.

do you accept all the bookings?

No. I make it a point to only partner with artists I genuinely love and believe in. After working several years on streaming campaigns, I also have a better feel of what works best on these platforms and regardless of whether I love the track or not, I reserve the right to kindly decline a streaming push request if I think a song isn’t ready for that type of campaign.

what will PR do for me & my music?

As a music publicist, my role consists in knocking on doors. I can be quite persistent but, at the end of the day, I can’t force the person on the other side to open or to invite me in. PR comes with no guarantees. It is about creating (and/or maximizing) your exposure to build your reputation and potentially lead you to new opportunities, whether it be meetings with A&R’s, a collaboration, airplay, a co-sign, being booked for a show/festival etc.

do you work alongside other firms?

No, unless the other agency is pushing the song on blogs while I’m in charge of the DSPs — or the other way around. Or if we’re both running a blog campaign but targeting different territories (only valid for the blog push). In that case, please make sure to consult me beforehand so that I can let you know if it’s possible or not.

when should I contact you?

A minimum of 3 weeks in advance for the blog, streaming or combo push. At this stage, your song or project should be completed (mixed & mastered). But you can also reach out way before with a preview/demo.

how can I get in touch?

For PR campaigns
Please fill in this form if you’re potentially interested in working together and I will get back to you within 1 week with more info (including my rates) if I feel like we could be a good fit for each other. Anyone submitting the form is automatically added to my mailing list where I exclusively share discount codes for my PR campaigns, as well as extra tips, freebies & tools.
For other services
For an audit, consulting session, press release or biography, please fill in the embedded form of the Book Me section and I will get back to you within 2 business days with more info regarding the payment and required assets.

what kind of payments do you accept?

I work exclusively with Wise and I’ll kindly ask you to take in charge the transfer fees. If you’ve never used it, let me know and I’ll send you an invite for a free transfer. If you live in the SEPA zone, I can accept a bank transfer instead. All services are to be paid upfront, except for the combo push campaign which can be split in 2 installments (50% upfront, 50% mid-campaign).

what are you looking for in an artist?

• talent
• pop, rnb or soul
• a great work ethic
• music with identity & quality (progression, structure, well mixed)
• open to feedback & ideas, especially if you need stronger branding and/or social media presence
• with a long-term project (over 6 to 12 months)

so you don’t accept short-term projects?

A first collaboration will always be a one-shot. If we were both happy about the results, we can discuss a long-term collaboration, which I prioritize as I wish to really accompany the artists during the first steps of their journey and help them build a strong foundation. I want for us to grow together!

“Passionate about the artists she works with. Alison exceeded all expectations and commitments with her exceptional work supporting independent artists whose songs may have yet to find the right outlets.”
